 How Does It Work?

The UK has seen a remarkable increase in solar panel installations in recent years, driven by technological advancements, decreasing costs, and growing awareness of environmental issues. With the government’s commitment to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, solar energy will play a crucial role in the UK’s energy transition.

Investing in solar panels is both an environmentally responsible choice and a practical financial decision for households and businesses in the UK. With numerous benefits ranging from lower energy costs to contributions toward a sustainable future, solar energy represents a significant step towards a cleaner, brighter tomorrow.

Reduce your Carbon Footprint - Solar panels produce renewable energy, helping to minimise greenhouse gas emissions associated with traditional fossil fuels. By switching to solar, households and businesses can contribute to global efforts in combating climate change.

Lower Energy Bills - By generating your own electricity, you can significantly cut your energy bills.

Solar panels are made up of photovoltaic (PV) cells that capture sunlight and convert it into electricity. The generated electricity can be used to power your home, store it in batteries for later use, or sell any excess to the national grid. PV panels come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colours.

The installation process is straightforward, typically involving:

01

Consultation

Assess your energy needs and requirements

02

Installation

Experienced installers mount panels to your roof

03

Connection

Connect solar panels to your system and MCS certificate

Consultation

What solar system suits you and your requirements?

Our experienced team will be able to help you.

Phone Consultation

These generally take about 30 minutes. We consider your requirements and talk through some of the options that you have.  We will use google earth and street view to discuss your property with you & may ask you to send us a few photos if required.

We will talk about your needs and a budget that you may have in mind, then evaluate your options using Easy PV to design your solar system.

Once complete we can then tweak the system and make alterations if required until you are happy with the setup. When you are happy and have given us the go ahead then we will carry out a more detailed survey of the property to ensure all is ok to proceed. This will ensure a smooth installation process, with no surprises.

The process (in a bit more detail) …

Installation

Home installations can take between 2-5 days depending on the size, number of batteries etc.

Scaffolding is likely to be required – we are more than happy to arrange this on your behalf but if you would rather source, this we are more than happy to work with this.

Disruption is always kept to an absolute minimum.  If power needs to be isolated we will always inform you first and keep it to a minimal amount of time.

We are always polite, tidy and pride ourselves on a job well done.
